Jefferson Area Students Need an Advocate for Their Success

From local nonprofit Edgewater Collective:

Your support makes these efforts possible for students and teachers.

Edgewater Collective is at a turning point. Due to unexpected fundraising challenges over the past several months, our revenue levels have decreased significantly. We are facing difficult decisions about transitioning from a paid staff advocate to an all volunteer organization. Making this transition will mean that many of our projects will not continue into 2019. Our students and schools will lose a key advocate for their success.

Our work here isn’t finished.

Thanks to community partners rallying around our schools, and hard work from teachers and staff, the Jefferson graduation rate has risen from 64% to 75%. All our focus schools are now in the top two categories for school performance ratings. But when we look at student achievement data in our area, our mission to see thriving Edgewater area schools is not complete.

We can’t continue without your help.

If we meet our $25,000 goal by December 31, we will be able to continue our work connecting Jefferson seniors to college and career pathways, advocating for the right resources to help all students succeed, and multiplying the impact of your donations with projects strongly recommended by teachers deeply concerned with student success.

Please consider joining us to support our students and teachers with financial gifts that yield success from cradle to career and beyond.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, December 4) is Colorado Gives Day, and you can help keep Edgewater Collective moving forward for kids by donating here.

TOGETHER, we can ensure that ALL kids succeed!
