Edgewater City Manager Leaving After 10 Years of Productive Service

After receiving an award for ten years of service in Edgewater, City Manager HJ Stalf announced last night that he would be leaving his post in January 2020. HJ was the first City Manager hired in the City of Edgewater in 2009 and oversaw many successful projects during his time as City Manager. The transition from a strong Mayor-led system to one led by the City Manager was a hard process and Stalf recognized the help of then Mayor Bonnie McNulty during the transition.

During his time as City Manager HJ Stalf has overseen many projects including:

  • Start of recreational cannabis retail licenses and sales
  • Infrastructure projects including paving all streets in Edgewater
  • Building of the new Edgewater Civic Center
  • Sale of City-owned property at 25th and Gray and 24th and Sheridan
  • Sale and development of 20th and Depew

The list could go on as Stalf’s time in Edgewater has been very productive. When HJ Stalf transitions out of his role in January 2020, Edgewater will be a better place to live, work and play because of the service HJ has given to this community.
