25th Ave. Pop-Up Survey: The City of Edgewater installed a temporary pop-up traffic calming corridor on 25th Ave. between Ames St. and Benton St. This Pop-Up was designed to give drivers, cyclist and pedestrians the ability to test a few traffic calming devices, while slowing down traffic through the corridor. Sewer Cleaning & Videoing: The City of Edgewater has hired Hydro Physics to provide sewer cleaning and videoing services this summer. They will be starting the sewer cleaning program on Monday July 8th between Lamar St. and Harlan St. Sewer cleaning may cause temporary issues in your home such as gurgling or minimal back flow through drains and toilets, and the possible odor of sewer gas from floor drains, sink drains or bathtubs. If these issues arise please call 720-763-3012.

Board Positions: Applications are being accepted for two (2) voluntary position on the Board of Adjustment and Appeals Board. This Board consists of five members, appointed by the Mayor. Summer Employment: The City of Edgewater is seeking a Seasonal Parks Assistant. Edgewater is a progressive city of approximately 5,100 nestled in the middle of the Denver Metropolitan Area across from Sloan’s Lake. The Parks Assistant will perform a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to providing park seasonal maintenance; landscape maintenance, construction and inspection tasks in parks, playfields, pathways. Special Events: Blues and BBQ start at 11am on Saturday, July 20th. Edgewater is a proud sponsor of this event that benefits the Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver. There is quite an event lineup for this Saturday so come early and stay or come late and enjoy it all the same. Adult tickets are $10 each and kids under 12 are free. Dragon Boat Festival: The Dragon Boat Festival will take place at Sloan’s Lake park next weekend on July 27th-July 28th. Admission is FREE but parking will be very limited and there is expected to be some heavy traffic on Sheridan Blvd. that weekend. The Edgewater Market & Music features live music, local vendors, food trucks, handmade goods, arts and crafts and more. The market starts June 27th through September 19th. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Edgewater’s historical 25th Avenue.

Senior Care Management: Care Managers from Jewish Family Service offer compassionate advice and thoughtful support to help older adults maintain or improve their quality of life. We are excited to partner with the City of Edgewater to bring this service to Edgewater residents. Our Care Managers will work with you to access resources and services, apply for benefits, and create an individualized plan to stay safe and independent in the environment of your choosing. Walk-ins are welcome or schedule an appointment to have a Care Manager visit you in your home.
