Your Occupation:

Retired

What do you love about Edgewater?

Most Everything.  People walking, neighbors visiting on porches, the small community feel because people say hello even if they don’t know you. And Edgewater is small enough to know many citizens throughout the city.

What do you view as the role of the Edgewater Mayor?

The mayor presides at all city council meetings, represents the city at events in and out of our city and appoints members to the city’s boards and commissions.

What are the opportunities facing Edgewater in the next two years?

The city’s comprehensive plan is in the process of being updated. We have an opportunity to do a through examination and get it right if we don’t rush it through just to get it done. It’s an important document for our city. We need to look carefully at the traffic calming plan and the code enforcement plan being put before council.

What are the challenges facing Edgewater in the next two years?

Parking is always a challenge. I’ve heard several mention code enforcement this year but don’t think shutting off people’s water is the only way to enforce code violations.

Why should Edgewater residents vote for you?

Hopefully because they know I will be available to talk to and know that I will do a great job.
