Edgewater Public Market Announces Grand Opening

From the Edgewater Public Market:

Edgewater Public Market, Denver’s most eclectic collective of local food stalls, retail boutiques, and rotating events, is proud to announce it will officially open to the public on Saturday, November 16th at 8am.

Developed by LCP Development, Edgewater Public Market is a destination and experience-focused retail shopping center with a 52,000-square-foot food and retail hall as its anchor. What once sat as a vacant King Soopers for 20 years will now host eighteen food and beverage vendors and 10 retail businesses in the completely renovated building that was designed by Meridian 105 Architecture, branded by Maximalist, and constructed by 8020 Builders.

“The Edgewater Public Market represents more than just food. It represents food, drink, and local vendors and retailers. It will serve as a building block for the community that provides something for everyone. We were honored to have the support from the City of Edgewater from the get-go,” says Jonathan Bush, one of LCP’s founding principals. “We are deeply invested in the success of this project and the energy it will bring to the City of Edgewater. We believe that we have created a unique amenity for the City of Edgewater and the surrounding communities to enjoy.”

The Edgewater Public Market site runs from 20th to 22nd Avenues off Depew Street in Edgewater. The food and retail hall building is proud to support up-and-coming artisan food concepts by acting as the first permanent location to many beloved food truck operations in Denver including Carnivore, Moontime Crepes, Konjo Ethiopian, Slideshow Sliders, Arepas House, Mac Shack, Rock N’ Lobster Roll, Gyros King, Lucky Bird, Tilford’s Wood Fired Pizza and Happy Cones. Other food and drink vendors include Amethyst Coffee, Lazo Empanadas, Barbed Wire Reef, Mugi Ramen, Meta Burger, Roger’s Liquid Oasis, and Barquentine Brewery.

Roger’s Liquid Oasis, owned by the founders of Curio Bar (inside Denver Central Market) and Brass Tacks, will host a two-level bar establishment inside the main food hall area located on the east side of the building. A 2,200-square-foot rooftop terrace will be part of Roger’s, accompanied with a 28-foot Airstream trailer that will serve as the rooftop bar. Barquentine Brewery will anchor the west side of the building and will open following the grand opening in the beginning of 2020. A common consumption liquor license is in place that allows customers to purchase an alcoholic beverage and enjoy it freely throughout the building. A list of all food and drink vendors can be found online here.

The west wing of this building will host several retail businesses, which includes Velvet Wolf, Little Wolf, Zero Market, Fleur, Artisans Thrive, Horseshoe Market, My Make Studio, and Depew Liquor Store. A list of all retailers and availability can be found online here.

Not only does the Edgewater Public Market have a food and retail hall, it also has two renovated buildings and one ground-up building that will be home to retail, fitness, and restaurant uses that will open in 2020. Other notable attributes of the project include a dog-friendly lawn area, a courtyard that will host movie nights and other events, and over 400 parking stalls.

The grand opening party of Edgewater Public Market is Saturday, November 16th with special events starting at noon and continuing throughout the evening. Guests can expect live music and entertainment, and food and drink specials hosted by vendors. Dog and family-friendly. For more information, please visit https://edgewaterpublicmarket.com/.
