PUBLIC WORKS
Public Works will be checking water meters all next week.

The final Leaf Pick Up of the season will be on Thursday, November 21. Please place your bags of leaves next to your trash can for collection.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

The voting period is closed, and all ballots have been counted. The County will conduct their post-election audit on Monday, November 18, and anticipate that results will be certified on Monday, November 25, after their canvass. Newly elected and returning elected Mayor and Council Members will be sworn in at the next regular City Council Meeting, which will be December 3, 2019. EDGEWATER LIBRARY
Edgewater Library is celebrating their one year anniversary!
Join us this Saturday, November 16 from 12pm – 3pm. A fun filled day with Mountain Music Duo, followed by Professor Elstun Ravenclaw’s Spells & Potion Magic Show, crafts & snacks.

PARKS & RECREATION MASTER PLAN
Thursday, November 14th at 5pm the City of Edgewater and Altitude Land Consultants had our first Community Public Meeting for the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. We received insightful feedback from the public. We are planning on holding three (3) of these public meetings so we hope to see more of you in the future.

A big thank you to all who attended our first meeting!

The Parks & Recreation Master Plan has five (5) phases approaching this project.

1. Master Plan Visioning Phase

  • Defining goals, vision, and opportunities

2. Community Survey

  • Statistically Valid Survey (English and Spanish)
  • On-line Community Survey
  • Analysis of Survey Responses

3. Master Plan Site Planning

  • Community Meeting #1
  • Community Meeting #2
  • Community Meeting #3

4. Revenue Opportunity and Partnerships

  • Programming, services, and maintenance plan
  • Partnership Opportunities

5. Final Master Plan

  • Draft Master Plan

We are currently working on getting together a statistically valid survey that all Edgewater Residents will receive in the mail, as well as setting up an on-line community survey to get a more broad picture of who is using our facilities, etc.

SUMMARY: The City of Edgewater is seeking a full time Community Services Director (1 FTE) to direct the Community Services Department. Edgewater is a city of approximately 5,100 nestled in the middle of the Denver Metropolitan Area across from Sloan’s Lake. The Community Services Director is responsible to the City Manager for the supervision and administration of the Community Services Department and for the performance of such other functions and duties that may be required by law consistent with the City Charter, the ordinances and resolutions of the City Council.
