State Wrestling Titles in Reach for Jefferson Saints

The last state title for a Jefferson sports team was the 1968 baseball title, but that could all change tonight. Jefferson Junior/Senior High School entered the state wrestling tournament ranked #1 in 3A, and entering today’s matches, they remain at the top of the team leader board.

Ryan Casey, Director of Digital Media for CHSAA tweeted the team scores for 3A entering Saturday’s matches:

Jefferson has three wrestlers who will complete in the finals this evening.

Angelo Lozado, 113 lb

Zander Condit, 145 lb

Nick Gallegos, 152 lb

Jefferson also has four wrestlers alive in the consolations:

Jimmy Ramirez III, 126 lb

Jose Campos, 138 lb

Alberto Zelaya, 160 lb

Randy Duran, 170 lb

You can keep up with the matches today on the CHSAA site here.

Good luck Saints!
