It’s Friday which means that Spring Break is almost over for students in Jeffco Public Schools. Since parents and guardians are running low on creative ideas after almost two weeks of having their children at home, we thought it would be fun to hold an Edgewater Youth Art Contest.
Here are the contest guidelines:
- Contest is open to kindergarten to 12th grade students who live in Edgewater or who attend Edgewater Elementary, Lumberg Elementary or Jefferson Junior/Senior High School.
- You may use any medium (pencil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, digital, etc.).
- Three-dimensional art and photographs WILL NOT be accepted.
- One submission per student.
- The contest deadline is 5 pm on Friday, April 3. Submissions must be emailed to joel@edgewaterecho.com. You can scan or take a picture of your artwork. The student’s first name must be written/drawn on directly on to the artwork.
- With the email art submission include:
- Student’s name, grade and school
- Student’s address for prize delivery
- Parent/guardian email address and phone number

Prize packages from local businesses will be awarded to the following grade category winners:
- Kindergarten-3rd grade
- 4th-6th grade
- 7th-9th grade
- 10th-12th grade
Winners will be posted in the Echo on Wednesday, April 8.
