Pride Parade: Celebrating Pride in Edgewater

In the age of COVID-19, it’s hard to bring the community together for causes and ensure that the virus doesn’t spread. This Saturday in Edgewater, community members organized the first Edgewater Pride Parade in a way that kept social distancing and showed support for LGBTQ community members.

The parade featured Grand Marshal Jude Gassaway as well as community members in cars, on bikes and motorcycles. It started at the Edgewater Civic Center and ended at the Edgewater Public Market.

Huge shoutout to the Edgewater community members who organized the parade: Michelle Slaughter, Annelise Shipley, Julie Thomson, Craig and Rebecca Bailey and Marla Doughty.
