Edgewater Business Spotlight: Frank’s Food and Bodega

We love when new businesses open in Edgewater and meet an unmet niche. Frank’s Food and Bodega, located at 5700 W. 25th Avenue, is just the type of businesses that we’ve heard residents hope for in Edgewater.

Here’s our conversation with the folks from Frank’s Food and Bodega:

How did you get involved in this business?

We have spent the last 25 years as the exclusive backstage caterer for artists and crews at all of Denver’s historic music venues and festivals. With the drastic changes in the live event and economic landscape over the last year we’ve pivoted our skills to provide the favorite foods of famous figures to the Denver community. Now you can pick up an iconic rock star’s choice chicken salad anytime you want!

What drew you to move to Edgewater?

We have run our catering office out of this building for the last 3 years and saw a need in the neighborhood for a bodega.

What will you offer in your space?

In addition to outstanding deli and to go meals, we carry a little bit of everything so you can get the necessities for your home and family. We feature daily specials like Taco Tuesdays, Prime Rib on the weekends, and a wide variety of in house baked goods. Local and organic produce, flowers, beverages and artisan made crafts also fill the shelves. We are still taking suggestions and requests to make sure the neighborhood needs are met.

What makes your business unique?

As a caterer to some of the world’s pickiest clientele (entertainment artists) we have a unique appreciation and understanding of specialty foods and pride ourselves on presentation and quality ingredients. So while Frank’s Food and Bodega is new for us, sourcing and serving quality food is not. Like many, we have been forced to pivot our focus and skills in the times of COVID and are very grateful we found this neighborhood and niche to serve.
