Instead of flocking to DIA to fly back home or another destination for Thanksgiving, many are staying right here in Edgewater for the week. So we put together some ideas for a Thanksgiving weekend right here in our small town of less than a square mile.
- Check out the free, online audiobooks, e-books, shows and more from Jefferson County Public Library.
- If you want to get that 5k in for the Apple Workout Thanksgiving Day Challenge, run the Edgewater 5k route around town.
- Head on down to the Edgewater Civic Center and take a walk or a roll on the 40 West ArtLine.
- Once you are tired of cooking, order takeout or enjoy outdoor dining at Edgewater restaurants and breweries this weekend.
- Take a look at Edgewater small businesses for ordering your holiday gifts. Here’s a map of all our Edgewater businesses.
- Discover special deals from Edgewater Public Market businesses on Saturday for Small Business Saturday.
- Help provide holiday gifts to local families by donating to Edgewater Collective’s holiday encouragement project.
- Bake some cookies and deliver them to a senior on your street while wearing a mask and keeping your distance. A friendly wave and a conversation goes a long way.
