There’s a lot going on at the intersection of 25th and Gray in Edgewater with the redevelopment of the former City-owned buildings. Today we wanted to spotlight one of the newest businesses in the area. Floracult just opened at 5838 W. 25th Avenue and we talked to the owners, Missy and Zach, about their new space.
How did you get involved in this business?
Zach and I have worked together for many years because he manages my other store. My husband moved his tattoo shop out of this Edgewater space into a larger building and we were lucky enough to take over his lease! We decided on the concept and got to work.
What drew you to move to Edgewater?
We’ve always liked the Edgewater area. It has a small, friendly neighborhood feel while also being so close to the city. We both live in Northwest Denver, so after spending a lot of time over here, we felt a neighborhood plant and provisions store would be a great addition to the community!
What products/services do you offer?
We offer a beautiful curated plant selection, plant accessories, as well as a fun collection of small batch goods. You will find botanical skin care, candles, incense, vintage clothing, books, art and more. We also offer monthly pop-up markets and events!
What makes your business unique?
Floracult is unique in that we strive to bring a curated collection of unusual goods and a fun, unpretentious vibe to the neighborhood. Each visit is different because we are always adding new plants to the collection and new clothing and provisions to the store. We hope it feels like a fun stop and a great place to pick up your next plant or gift 🌿🖤
