The Edgewater City Council will meet for a Business Meeting and Work Session on Tuesday, September 21 starting at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held virtually and in-person (limited amount of attendees per health orders).
One of the items on the agenda is the possible approval of traffic calming and walkability easements at 20th & Benton, 24th & Pierce and 20th & Harlan.
According to the staff notes, “The 2019 Traffic Calming Mobility Plan which included three roundabouts, a raised crossing, sidewalk and median improvements is being implemented to increase the safety of pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles. To accommodate the roundabouts, easements were needed with Jefferson County Schools for 24th and Pierce, with Target and a resident at 20th and Benton and with a resident at 20th and Harlan.”
