In the most recent state wrestling rankings from On the Mat and InsideCoWrestling, the girls and boys wrestling teams from Jefferson Junior/Senior High School in Edgewater were ranked in the top 10. The Jefferson wrestling teams are led by Jefferson graduate Oscar Fonseca. Great job Saints!
The Jefferson girls wrestling team was ranked number 7 in the state. Individual Jefferson wrestlers were also ranked in their weight class:
- Alica Soto ranked #4 in 100 lbs
- Shayla Gallegos ranked #3 in 118 lbs
- Alina Antillon ranked #1 in 136 lbs
The Jefferson boys wrestling team was ranked number 2 in 3A. Individual Jefferson wrestlers were also ranked in their weight class:
- Sam Rosales ranked #2 in 106 lbs
- Daniel Soto ranked #3 in 113 lbs
- Angelo Lozado ranked #1 in 126 lbs
- Silas Thompson ranked #2 in 152 lbs
