Jefferson Saints Wrestlers Antillon and Soto are State Champions

Jefferson Junior/Senior High School sent eleven boys and girls wrestlers to the 3A State Championships Thursday through Saturday of last week and came home with two state champions. Alina Antillon was the state champion in 111 lb division and Daniel Soto was state champion in the 113 lb division. The Jefferson girls wrestling team finished sixth as a team, while the boys finished 3rd as a team. One of Jefferson’s coaches, James Vogel, was also honored for twenty years of coaching.

Girls
111- Shayla Gallegos – 2nd
136- Alina Antillon – State Champion

Boys
106-Sam Rosales – 2nd
113- Daniel Soto – State Champion
126- Angelo Lozado – 2nd
132- Jose Campos – 6th
152- Silas Thompson – 5th
