City of Edgewater: Sustainability Board Openings

Are you passionate about the Edgewater community? Do you want to see the city continue its path toward creating a healthier, more connected, and sustainable future?

The City of Edgewater Sustainability Board is a great way to turn your passion into action and be directly involved in shaping Edgewater’s future! Board members are volunteers from the community who are appointed by the mayor for two-year terms to advise on, advocate for, and direct sustainability programs and projects taking place in the city. This includes programs that support water conservation, healthy ecosystems, composting and waste prevention, energy efficiency, and a more vibrant and connected community.

Three (3) board positions that are currently open:

  • Land and Water Lead: Promoting water saving strategies and parks and green spaces
  • Energy Lead: Increasing energy efficiency and promoting renewable energy solutions
  • Social Vibrancy Lead: Supporting local businesses and enhancing the vibrancy, walkability, and connection of neighborhoods

Positions are open until filled. The Board will be reviewing applications and interviewing initial applicants at the Sustainability Board meeting on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:00 PM.
