April 10, 2023

Dear Jefferson Jr./Sr. High School Staff and Families,

With mixed emotions, I write to inform you that I will be stepping down from my position as Principal of Jefferson Jr./Sr. High School at the end of this academic year. I acknowledge that change can be challenging, especially involving a beloved community like ours. Please know this decision has not been easy, yet I am confident it is time for me to embark on a new chapter in my professional life. As I move forward, I will hold fond memories of the Jefferson community close to my heart.

I want to express my deep appreciation for the opportunity to have served as your principal. The past few years have been filled with learning, growth, laughter, and at times, tears. It has been a privilege to lead such a talented and dedicated group of educators and to watch our Saints succeed academically and personally. I am proud to have been a part of this community.

To the students, it has been a pleasure to watch you grow and learn during your time at this school. I am proud of all you have accomplished, and I know that you will continue to thrive under the guidance of the outstanding staff.

As I prepare to leave, I assure you that my commitment to Jefferson remains strong. I will work tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition for the next principal and stay available to support in any way I can. The future of Jefferson is bright, and I am confident that the staff, faculty, and students will continue to thrive under your leadership.

Thank you for your empathy, understanding, and collaboration during my tenure as principal. Serving this community has been an honor, and I am grateful for all I learned at Jefferson Jr./Sr. High School. “Once a Saint, Always a Saint.”

Respectfully,

Jessica L. Garza

Principal

Jefferson Jr./Sr. High School
