From Jeffco Public Schools:
May 10, 2023
Dear Jefferson Jr./Sr. Staff and Families,
I am pleased to share with you that we have selected Mr. Ricardo Esparza as our interim principal for the 2023-24 school year.
A seasoned educator of more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Esparza is a veteran principal who has a proven track record of leading schools in improving academic outcomes, creating a culture of belonging, partnering with families and staff, and preparing students for success in their post-secondary lives. Mr. Esparza will be part of a comprehensive school leadership team who is committed to the delivery of instructional excellence and thriving experiences for all Jefferson students; this year he helped with the roll out of the school’s high dosage tutoring program. We have great confidence in Mr. Esparza and are excited for him to continue to build on the rich Jefferson legacy.
As interim principal Mr. Esparza will serve the Jefferson community for the 2023-24 school year and our permanent principal position will be posted in January/February 2024. At that time we will conduct a national, comprehensive search for our ongoing school leader and a hiring committee composed of staff, students, district leadership and families will be formed.
Staff and families will have the opportunity to attend a meet and greet with Mr. Esparza on Thursday, May 11 at 4 p.m. in the school library. We hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Dr. Donetrus Hill
Jefferson Articulation Area Community Superintendent
