This Wednesday morning is the perfect day to join thousands of Coloradans and bike to work for Bike to Work Day! It’s a great way to get exercise, save money, and lower stress levels all while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality. Bike to Work Day is organized by DRCOG (Denver Regional Council of Governments).

Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
I was walking around Sloan’s Lake with my family this morning. My elementary aged sons said, “Daddy can we get some water from the Native Roots tent?” I looked up and saw a large NATIVE ROOTS tent, apparently promoting their cannabis products? Supposedly handing out water bottles for bike to work day? A wolf in sheep’s clothing. Don’t promote your 18+ product to my children when we’re at a public park. If you’re so innocent, why do you have a security guard standing under the tent with you?
It is highly unlikely that people who are actually riding their bike to work would not be on the path at Sloans Lake. Also, bicyclists should have a refillable water bottle that they can attach to their bike. Alos this plastic waste is unnecessary.
