The Edgewater City Council will meet for a Business Meeting and Work Session on Tuesday, October 24 starting at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held virtually and in-person.
During the Work Session, City Council will receive the following updates:
- City Attorney Presentation
- MIG Comprehensive Plan Update
- Code Updates – Water Wise Landscaping
- ADA Presentation
- Walkability Update
During the Business Meeting, City Council will discuss and take possible action on the following:
- Approve a resolution for Jefferson County Housing Authority to manage the property at 5440 W. 25th Avenue that was recently purchased by the City of Edgewater.
- An ordinance to impose water efficient landscaping requirements
- An ordinance allowing the Colorado Department of Revenue to collect the City’s sales tax

Great. That section of 25th had the chance to be a continuation of new commercial /residential development from Sheridan to Gray. Now the gateway to Edgewater will be locked down for low income housing. Way to go City Council for not find the highest and best use possible for a valuable piece of property to benefit the community as a whole.
