Starting today, employees at Edgewater, Colorado businesses that are paid a minimum wage will receive an hourly wage increase thanks to the Edgewater City Council. In May 2023, Edgewater City Council voted to increase the local minimum wage for Edgewater so that members of the local Edgewater workforce could make progress toward a more livable wage.
According to the City of Edgewater, “The intention is to increase and then be equal to the City and County of Denver’s minimum wage.”
This new minimum wage for Edgewater goes into effect on January 1, 2024.

It is yet to be seen what impact the increased minimum wage will have on Edgewater small businesses.
