From Joyride Brewing Company:
Joyride Brewing Company is turning twelve and they’re marking the milestone in true Joyride fashion: closing down the street, calling in twelve of their best brewery friends, and throwing a two-day block party on July 24 and 25 that the neighborhood won’t soon forget.
“Twelve years feels like a milestone worth doing right, and I think we’ve put together something really special this year,” says Joyride Co-Founder and President Dave Bergen. “The talent we’ve been able to bring together, both on the brewing side and the music side, blows me away every time. This is my favorite weekend of the year and I hope it shows!”
For the weekend, Joyride will close off the street and parking lot across from the taproom to make room for a large covered stage, food trucks, beer trailers, a custom hat station, and more, all within view of the beloved rooftop deck overlooking Sloan’s Lake.

The Most Prestigious Award in Colorado Craft Beer
Since their third anniversary in 2017, Joyride has hosted a collaboration beer competition that has become one of the most beloved traditions in the Colorado craft beer scene. The number of collaborating breweries always matches the year being celebrated, meaning this year, twelve breweries will split into four teams of three to brew beers alongside the Joyride brew team.
Attending guests receive a punch card, try every competing beer, and vote for their favorite. Those who try all twelve beers and cast a vote go home with a limited-edition commemorative pint glass. The winner earns bragging rights and custody of a well-traveled child-size WWE championship belt adorned with past winners’ names, currently on proud display at Comrade Brewing as co-champion from 2025 alongside Westbound & Down.
This year’s competing teams are:
- Team #1: Bent Barley Brewing Company, Odell, and Seedstock Brewery
- Team #2: Barrels & Bottles Brewery, Strange Craft Beer Company, Westbound & Down Brewing Company
- Team #3: Cannonball Creek Brewing Company, Liquid Mechanics Brewing Company, Woods Boss Brewing
- Team #4: Comrade Brewing Company, Downhill Brewing, Steep Brewing
“We love working with some of our best friends in the industry for this friendly competition, who also happen to be some of the best brewers in the world. The quality of these collaborative beers is always top-notch,” says Bergen.
Custom Hats and a Limited-Edition Party Shirt
On Saturday, Crafted MFG will bring 24+ hat styles that can be paired with multiple Joyride patches. Pick your hat, pick your patch, and walk away with a one-of-a-kind custom Joyride hat in about two minutes, hot off an on-site heat press.
Continuing the tradition since 2021, Joyride will release a limited-edition Hawaiian-inspired button-down party shirt, a collector’s item for regulars and visitors alike. Made from a breathable spandex and polyester blend, this year’s design is still under wraps.
Hungry? La Baja Fish Tacos and Grill will be on site both days, with Chicago Mo’s Beef joining the lineup on Saturday.
