Sustainability Committee
Your Voice Matters

Edgewater’s newly formed Sustainability Committee is looking for feedback as they work to create a Sustainability Plan. A Survey is now available to gather information on where Edgewater is currently with sustainability efforts and where the community would like to head into the future. Save paper by taking the survey online or pick up a copy at the Civic Center and drop it off there as well.

On Tuesday April 9th from 6-7:30pm, the Sustainability Committee is hosting an Open House where they will also be gathering ideas and looking for feedback. Republic Services and the Edgewater Library’s Sustainability Seminar will also be available to answer questions. Come and enjoy refreshments and treats while sharing your thoughts about sustainability.

Corrections from 3/29/19

We apologize there was a mis-print in the March 29th edition of the City Weekly. Below is the correct information for the Day of Service event, as well as information about the Arbor Day event that will held just before this event. We need all the volunteers we can get for these two events!

Event participants will not only get to experience the planting, but also learn about tree care and annual maintenance. Following planting City staff and the History, Arts, Recreation and Parks Advisory board will be cooking lunch in the Civic Center parking lot. We will have all the tools available. Please bring gloves if you have a pair. For more information please call 720-763-3012.

Edgewater Day of Service
Saturday, April 27th

The City of Edgewater is looking for a few good men, women, families, even teams of folks to join us for our annual Day of Service! Following a BBQ in the parking lot of the Civic Center (1800 Harlan St.), volunteers will be sent out to do some basic yard projects (i.e. – clean up flower beds, wash windows on the outside, place mulch/rock/plants, or just about anything else your assigned house will need) for senior residents. If there is any time left, volunteers will assist with some alley clean up throughout the City. We will have all the tools available. Please bring gloves if you have a pair. For more information about being a volunteer, please call Felica Goett at 720.763.3011 or stop by and see her at the Civic Center Fitness Center Desk.
