End Overdose Jeffco Event in Edgewater

From Jefferson County Public Health:

On August 27th from 6-7:30 pm at the Edgewater Civic Center the Jefferson County Public Health will be honoring people that have lost their lives to drug overdoses. We would like for you to join us on this special night. The event will include memorial activities, coalition updates, stigma reduction activities, distinguished speakers, personal experiences, and naloxone training.

In order to reduce the number of drug overdoses in the community, we must work together. We appreciate your continued care and support. We look forward to seeing you at our event.

6:20 pm- Stories of hope from Joe Martinez – Tri-County Public Health
6:30 pm- Cory Reid-Vanas – Jefferson County Communities That Care
6:40 pm- Navigating substance use resources: Sara Friedman & Catherine Hoich
6:50 pm- Jefferson Center Community leaders perspectives:
6:50 pm- Commissioner Lesley Dahlkemper – Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners
6:55 pm- Chief Dan McCasky – Lakewood Police Department
7:00 pm- Chief John Mackey – Edgewater Police Department
7:05 pm – How to Save a Life: Recognizing and Responding to an Opioid Overdose
7:15 pm- Closing and Call to Action: Veronika Hanna & Michael Miller, Opioid Initiatives Coordinator, Jefferson County Public Health
