Coming Soon: My Make Studio at the Edgewater Public Market

The opening of the Edgewater Public Market at 20th and Depew is coming soon so we thought it would be a great time to spotlight the businesses moving into the spaces.

Today we are talking to Linda Sudowski, the owner of My Make Studio!

How did you get involved in this business?

I opened My Make Studio in March of 2015. My mom and grandma were wedding cake decorators so I grew up around cakes and have always enjoyed decorating them.

What drew you to be part of the Edgewater Public Market?

We live in Jefferson Park right down the road and love the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood. Edgewater Public Market (EPM) seems like it’s going to be a great addition to the neighborhood and draw in a lot of people. Our current location doesn’t have many restaurants nearby so we’re hoping our customers will enjoy our business as well as other EPM vendors.

What will you offer in your shop?

Our shop is a do it yourself cupcake and cake decorating studio. We have unlimited icing, fondant, candies and tools to decorate your own edible masterpiece. If DIY isn’t your thing, we teach classes as well! We host parties, summer camps, and Gingerbread Houses in the fall.

What makes your business unique?

We are a woman run business and bring so much cupcake and cake decorating passion to the community. It’s an edible art form that many people are curious about but don’t have the access to at home.

We’re so excited to be a part of Edgewater!
