DPD District 1 Commander Layla DeStaffany and Lt. James Ballinger met with Edgewater Police Chief John Mackey and thanked him and the entire police department staff for their “exceptional work” with the staff and children at the Tennyson Center for Children. Many times the children from the Tennyson Center breach the security of the center and run away. The Edgewater Police Department has been a key element in locating the children and returning them to the center. EPD and DPD staff work with the staff at the Tennyson Center on finding resolutions to the growing issue.
Joel has been a resident of Edgewater, Colorado with his family since 2012. He is the Executive Director of local education nonprofit Edgewater Collective and Editor of the Edgewater Echo.
