Physical Education Teacher Steve Zott, who is only the third PE teacher at Lumberg Elementary, has announced his retirement after the end of this school year. Steve Zott has served as the physical education teacher for over 29 years at Lumberg. Zott took over for PE teacher Charlie Diehl who had been the PE teacher since 1965. Mrs. Cost was the first PE teacher from 1955 to 1965.

You should correct your tribute to Steve Zott. Steve is actually the third P.E. teacher at Lumberg Elementary. A woman kindly known by her students as Mrs Cost, till I believe !965. Mr Charlie Diehl started in the fall of 1965.
I attended Lumberg from kindergarten (1959) through 6th grade (1966).
