Businesses along Edgewater’s historic 25th Avenue are organizing their annual 21st Amendment Day Bar Crawl for this upcoming Saturday, December 3, 2022. The event will begin at 1 p.m. and continue to 8 p.m. Prohibition-style drink specials will be served and those that visit all locations will receive a chance to win prizes. Much of Edgewater’s early history as a town revolved around liquor establishments and those in town that wanted to rid the community of alcohol. Three of Edgewater’s first ordinances were meant to regulate saloons and prostitution in town. Edgewater was one of the first towns in Colorado to go “dry” in May 8, 1908.
