The Edgewater City Council will meet for a Business Meeting and Work Session on Tuesday, July 18 starting at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held virtually and in-person.
One of the main items on the agenda is a First Reading of an ordinance authorizing the purchase of the property at 5440 W. 25th Avenue by the City of Edgewater. According to City documents, “City Council is interested in purchasing this property. At this time, no immediate change would be planned, and the purchase would provide space for future development in-line with the community vision as addressed in the forthcoming Edgewater Comprehensive Plan update.” The building currently is the home of the Lightway at Sloans early childhood center and rental apartments.
