Joyride Brewing Company Celebrates Nine Years with 90s Themed Anniversary Party July 14-15

From Joyride Brewing Company:

Joyride Brewing Company has a lot to celebrate; the brewery recently had a strong showing at the 2023 World Beer Cup in Nashville where they took home a bronze for You Have to Call Me Nighthawk in the American-Style Strong Pale Ale category and bronze for Ice Cutter Kölsch in the German-Style Koelsch category, a beer that won gold the previous year.

Joyride also turns nine this summer so the Edgewater brewery is throwing an epic 90s themed block party on July 14 and 15 that will make any millennial swoon.

“It’s amazing to be recognized for work you feel passionately about, and I’m so proud of our brew team for continuing to make world-class beer here in Edgewater, Colorado. Our anniversary block party is always a great opportunity to mix the world of entertainment with our beer portfolio to create an experience like no other,” says Joyride Co-Founder and Director of Brewing and Marketing Dave Bergen. “The beer list and band lineup this year are both going to be pretty outrageous, so I’m ready to party all weekend just like everyone else!”

Joyride will close off the street to welcome a silent disco on Friday and live music with several 90s bands on the main stage both Friday and Saturday, and a custom hat station on Saturday. The brewery will release limited edition merchandise such as commemorative glassware and Hawaiian shirts. This fun-filled two-day event is fun for the whole family!

As part of Joyride’s storied tradition for community and collaboration, the brewery’s anniversary bash will include a friendly competition with the help of their brewery friends. Guests will receive a punch card and try five collaboration beers from participating breweries, vote for their favorite brews, and leave with a special commemorative anniversary glass. Last year Station 26 Brewing Co. and Westbound and Down Brewing Company took home top honors for their Cold IPA collaboration; let’s see if either brewery can pull off a repeat win. This year’s competitive sets include:

  • Cannonball Creek Brewing Company and Westbound & Down Brewing Company (West Coast IPA)
  • Call to Arms Brewing Company and Odell Brewing Company (Hazy IPA)
  • Station 26 Brewing Co. and Woods Boss Brewing Company (New Zealand Pilsner)
  • Downhill Brewing and Strange Craft Beer Company (Cherry Limeade Gose)
  • Barrels & Bottles Brewery (Fruited Light Lager)

“We’re pretty fortunate that some of our best friends in the industry are also some of the best brewers in the country. In fact, four of this year’s collaborating partners won World Beer Cup awards this spring!” says Bergen. “Aside from all being amazing brewers, they’re also amazing people who run amazing breweries, and getting an opportunity to slow down and brew beer with them for this event is very special, and we’re fortunate they want to keep participating year after year. We joke around that the Joyride Collab Championship belt is the most coveted prize in Colorado craft beer, but our friends really want to win that thing!”
