Extreme Weather Overflow Shelter Open in Lakewood

 

The City of Lakewood has opened an Extreme Weather Overflow Shelter at 8000 W. Colfax Avenue from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. January 10 through January 15. No reservation is required.

    The building (shelter) at 8000 W Colfax looks interesting. I couldn’t find out anything about it through a cursory search. What was it when built (1959) and renovated (2004)?
