Edgewater will finally get its own bakery in town as Black Box Bakery is holding their Grand Opening this Sunday morning, March 19 at 9 a.m. Black Box Bakery will be located inside the Edgewater Public Market in between Meta Burger and Depew Liquor.

Black Box Bakery’s website tells more about their story:

Black Box Bakery was founded by Arielle Israel, Ty Webb and Megan Read as a promising side project in the fall of 2019. They made a connection with the owners of Ironton Distillery and used their kitchen in the middle of the night to begin growing their wholesale accounts. Over the next year their wholesale business continued to grow and there was need for expansion. They moved into The Renaissance Hotel in October 2020 to use their banquets kitchen and grow their team. For the next two years the Black Box Bakery Team began to search for potential retail locations until they toured Edgewater Public Market. In early 2022 they made the leap to sign the lease and start construction at Edgewater Public Market. We are very excited to welcome you to our first retail location!

So walk, ride or roll on down to the Edgewater Public Market this Sunday morning and welcome locally-owned Black Box Bakery to the neighborhood!
